"The interpreter-mediated interaction, in contrast, wich basically is constitute as two versions of the same talk, involves living people. The interpreter is dependent on these actual others for her or his reporting of others' speech, just as these others are dependet on the interpreter for their participation in interaction" (Wandesjö, C. 1998.)
Seeing this with the mothers, we can say that is true, a mother make the performances as an interpreter-mediated, when there is a third person trying to interact with the child, because, first of all, the mother is the only person who pass all the time with the child and that made her have the knowing of the meaning of every expression of her child and, how to translate at the language by interpreting about what is trying to said.
"They are dependent on their ability to take co-actors' perspectives to foresee where the conversation is heading" (Wandesjö, C. 1998.)
Two examples of this is when a time, a six month baby was babbling and raising the spoon at the table, no one in the room knows what he was trying to said; then the mother, gave him a plate with ice-cream and the baby ate it. The persons in the room questioned the mother " How did you know he wanted ice-cream?" and the mother said "Is because he raised the spoon and was looking directly to the ice-crema of Javier" -Javier is the father.-
The other one, was a child of one years old. The mother and she were at the park, then a person came to them, The mother and the person start talking, then the baby start to said "Water" but the meaning was "keys" The other person, start to question to the mother about what was trying to said the child, he didn't had any water, the mother told to that child what the person said, but the child keep saying "water" then the mother look at the way the child was looking and saw the keys, and she said "you want the keys?" the child said "water" the third person gave the keys to the child and said "keep my water safe" and child said "water", then the mother said to the person "she means thank you." We can see that the child with only one word was saying everything and the mother knows it, and translated it to other to keep involved the baby and the person in the same "page."
